Reader's Retreat

Join Book Addiction and guest authors Amie Kaufman, Kate J Armstrong, and Lili Wilkinson for a weekend Reader's Retreat at Yarra Valley Estate from Friday 31 July to Monday 3 August 2026. Note: authors may not attend the full weekend.
 
You'll spend 3 nights in a queen ensuite room with dinner onsite each evening in the Estate Dining Room. Each wing has a private lounge and fully equipped kitchen you can utilise for breakfasts and lunches (or you can visit any of the spectacular wineries or restaurants in the area!).
 
After a casual meet & greet and dinner on Friday night, Saturday will be dedicated to author talks and other bookish events onsite. Sunday is a free day to explore the area, read in quietude, or join one of the organised events (details to be confirmed), with checkout on Monday morning.
 
Costs:
A $200 + GST non-refundable deposit per person is required to secure your place. This is to be paid by ordering from this listing. Each attendee will be invoiced separately via email for the remaining event costs. If earlybird payments are not received by 28 February 2026 standard rates will then apply.
Earlybird rates apply from 14 November 2025 to 28 February 2026: $1200 + GST per person.
Standard rates apply from 1 March to 30 June 2026: $1500 + GST per person.
 
No cancellations/refunds will be accepted after 30 June 2026.
 
Optional events will be charged separately. Drinks are NOT included in your event fee. Transport to and from the venue is the responsibility of the attendee.
 
Partners are welcome, however if they wish to attend any events or dinners, an extra cost will apply. Please contact Book Addiction to discuss extra costs.
